Crafty Covens Refunds & Returns Policy

1. Who Handles Refunds & Returns?

Crafty Covens is a marketplace connecting buyers and independent vendors. Each vendor is responsible for setting their own refund, return, and exchange policies. Before making a purchase, buyers should check the vendor’s refund policy on their store page.

  • Crafty Covens does not process refunds or returns directly.
  • All refund or return requests must be handled directly between the buyer and vendor.

2. How to Request a Refund or Return

  1. Check the vendor’s refund policy before purchasing.
  2. If eligible, contact the vendor directly to request a refund, return, or exchange.
  3. Follow the vendor’s return process, including shipping the item back if necessary.

3. What If a Vendor Doesn’t Respond?

If a vendor fails to respond or refuses to honor their own refund policy, buyers may report the vendor to Crafty Covens.

  • Crafty Covens may step in to review cases where a vendor repeatedly ignores refund requests.
  • Vendors who fail to fulfill their stated refund policies may face penalties, including account suspension or removal from the marketplace.

4. Digital Products & Refunds

Due to the nature of digital goods (such as downloadable files, PDFs, or e-books), refunds are typically not allowed unless:

  • The file is corrupted or incomplete.
  • The file was never delivered due to a system issue.
  • The product does not match its description (determined on a case-by-case basis).

Buyers should contact the vendor before purchasing digital products to clarify refund policies.

5. Dispute Resolution

If a buyer and vendor cannot resolve a refund or return request, buyers may:

  • Open a case through their payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, or credit card chargeback process).
  • Report the issue to Crafty Covens if the vendor is unresponsive or violating platform policies.

Crafty Covens does not guarantee refunds but will take action against vendors who repeatedly violate their own refund policies or engage in fraudulent behavior.


For Vendors: Refund Policy Requirements

All vendors must clearly state their refund and return policies on their shop page. Vendors must honor their stated policies.

  • If refunds are not allowed, this must be clearly stated in the product description.
  • Vendors must respond to refund requests within 5 business days (Monday–Friday, excluding recognized public holidays).
  • If a vendor is in vacation mode, the response period pauses, but customers must be informed of the delay.
    • If a vendor is on vacation for longer than 14 days, they must either:
      1. Designate a backup contact to handle refund requests during their absence.
      2. Allow Crafty Covens to intervene if a dispute arises due to inactivity.
  • If a vendor is inactive for more than 30 days without responding to refund requests, Crafty Covens may suspend their store and assist buyers in escalating disputes through their payment provider (Stripe, PayPal, or credit card).
  • Vendors who fail to comply with refund policies may face suspension or removal from the platform.

Final Notes:

  • Crafty Covens does not issue refunds on behalf of vendors.
  • Buyers should always review vendor policies before making a purchase.
  • Vendors must clearly define their refund policies and respond to refund requests promptly.
