This Leo storage box is part of my first zodiac series collection. I will be starting a second series in June. This is the last Leo box that has been made for this series.
The exterior measurement of this piece are 8.75 inches x 7 inches x 2 inches. The interior measurements are 7.625 inches x 6 inches x 1.625 inches. This piece took approximately 25 hours to complete.
Each box is repaired (where warranted), sanded, primered and painted, inside and out.
I take hand stamped images (I have a rather ridiculous collection of rubber stamps), and ephemera and put them on recycled paper, and paint the images with a variety of different inks and paints. I then back the artwork on black card stock, then layer and decoupage the images onto the box with different art papers.
I then seal the box with a water based, interior poly sealer.
Each box is signed and numbered when appropriate.
